James Court is an ARIA-nominated Australian multi-instrumentalist, composer, and music producer. He is best known for his collaboration with the award-winning children's musical group, The Beanies, having written, engineered, and produced each of their albums since the group's inception in 2016. His work with the Beanies has earned the group two ARIA nominations, an MMMA Award, and an Australian Podcast Award.
James has also won awards for his work as a composer in the realms of musical theatre, film, and podcasts. Click here to learn more!
ABOUT
The Beanies are an ARIA-nominated three-piece children's band based in Sydney. The Beanies’ mission is to entertain and encourage children to exercise their imaginations and nurture their creativity through song, dance, stories and interactive lessons.
The group are best known for their eponymous award-winning podcast series for kids. Every episode contains a story, a lesson, a guided meditation, and a song, with topics ranging from the scientific (how can you make plants grow quicker?) to the serious (why do people bully others?) to the very, very silly (why do we fart?)!
The Beanies are Laura Dawson, Miriam 'Mim' Rizvi, and Michael Yore.
Lyrics to all the songs are written by The Beanies, with music written and produced by James Court, aka 'The Music Wizard'.
